Get the 3rd pick without giving up the 5th pick? Besides it being an insulting offer, The Detroit GM couldn't make that trade because he would be tarred, feathered and rode out of town on a rail if he did.

Well if they include their 1st round pick the next 2 seasons, he might not be, but it would be a tough sell. Ideally that would give Detroit ammunition both of the next two drafts to get Stafford's replacement.

There comes a point when the value of the offer is so great that RR would need to be incompetent to reject it - and I don't think he's incompetent.
