I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it's gonna be Warriors, and everybody will be happy until our on-field performance is so terrible even the Wounded Warriors want no association with us.

The Redskins are expected to announce Monday they're retiring their name without specifying yet what the new name will be, source says, as initially reported by @BenFischerSBJ.

So it looks like dropping the Redskins name will be made official tomorrow but no new name will be revealed? It’s almost like Dan is doing this purposefully to drag out media attention and the $$ that comes with that.

Alternate theory: The Redskins have either just started the trademark process and know it won't even get looked at for another 3 months, or they haven't gotten anything approved yet and that's why they don't want to announce the new name.
