When later in the year Sims started making plays it was in part because defences were concentrating on McClaurin. McClaurin was being guarded 1 on 1 by the top corner-backs on the opposite team including the likes of Slay and Gilmore. I don't think he can get more attention.

Some defenses could have a safety hover nearby McLaurin's side sometimes to help out the CB guarding McLaurin. Based on what I learned about McLaurin, his work ethics is off charts and I have no doubts McLaurin is doing everything to refine his skills in this offseason, which will put more pressure on #1 CBs than last season.
