Yes, there is. "Chief" is a term that is actually used in a derogatory way by racists. "Redskin," not so much. I am 66 years old and have never heard anyone use the term 'redskin" as a racial slur. Not once. Chief? Yes, I've heard that used as a racial slur.

Yes, chief is used as a derogatory slur. In fact, that is the only term I have ever heard used in a derogatory manner towards a Native American in real life. Hard to figure where you have been all your life if you haven't heard the term "chief" used in a sarcastic and belittling manner. In old movies you would hear "savages", but I've never heard that in real life. In more recent movies, it's "chief." I am not a Trump supporter. Where on earth did you get that?
