If I was DS i'd set up a site/email address to send in suggestions. Then a poll of the top 3 based a) most suggested and b) ruling out any that would be just as contentious. Then a competition for (kids in?) the DC area to come up with a design based on the chosen name. By the time they've done all that it will be too late to change anything this season anyway and it will be a good publicity stunt to get the community involved. Set up a website for the poll/entry submissions and get FedEx to sponsor it. Kill two (red)birds with one stone...

Fans will pick something stupid...and online polls can easily be manipulated anyways.

You would think it would be a honor for teams to nickname after Native American culture .. however if they find it offensive then so be it .. I would go totally away from it and never look back .. one day a young person will ask there grandfather why did all the teams with Native American themes change ... let them explain it .. next up is the Cleveland Indians , chiefs , Braves , Blackhawks , Yankees (slur), and all the other names people find objectionable.. it’s time to move on .. at least I saw the redskins win all there super bowls!!

I'll say this - it's wild to me how much momentum RedWolves has all of a sudden as a possible new name for the Redskins. I'm pretty sure it was all Fred Smoot's idea, and we will have him live on our show tonight. Should be fun.

I'm not on board with them changing the name but I know it's going to happen,but why give up the native american imagery?

Name the team the Warriors and put the arrow back on the helmet

I think what NA imagery refers to is the current logo on the helmets.
