You're right, will make a Sundberg one done later today. I also need to make them a lil smaller.

I actually like Washington Football Team the name. But I can't match my verbal acceptance with the visuals of the gear.

Yeah, I was doing to steam it. An iron might melt it.

Nylon material, think cheap American flag material.

Tricky, iron it under a damp tea towel /dish towel?

The old Redskins gear will be worn by many fans this season. But every year there will be less doing so. Especially when the new team name comes out and the team starts winning.

Yeah, I bought a custom-made McLaurin, #17 Redskins jersey last winter. I may wear it until they get a (HOPEFULLY) cool new name. I’m staying with McLaurin’s jerseys because I think he will have a great career with this team.

Same here.
Older classic gear like jerseys and jackets are put away.
I still wear Redskins shirts to work out and around town.

I've never been a fan of the decked out superfan look.

Random Picture of Jim Lachey and Zubaz pants.

Unfortunately that is probably true. Additionally, the name likely caused a majority of Redskins fans to move on (primarily in the diaspora which made up the majority of fans) and once a new name is picked more will move on. So yes I can see fewer and fewer wearing Redskins gear at the games and other places in the coming years.

You’re right. If the team picks a cool mascot AND the most popular team name as evidenced by fan mail, polls, etc , such as to the Washington RED WOLVES that whole name transition will accelerate very rapidly. The team also has some young players about to break out and become legit stars: Young, McLaurin, Haskins. That will make people want their favorite player’s jerseys which can either be the anemic WFT logo or the RED WOLVES!

I can’t remember when the Eagles went from that Irish green (called Kelly green) jersey color to their darker, harder green jerseys. I think it was 1996. It wasn’t even a name change, just a color change. The change was gradual. Now 24 years later not one in 100 Eagles fans are still in the old green.

If the WFT chooses a wildly popular team name & logo AND some current young players start to become real team stars AND the team starts finally winning you’ll see the fans move over to the new logo quickly. WFT gear will go right away. In just two years, with hot stars making a serious run in the playoffs and every fan will want to join the party with the new logo!! In ten years you’ll see a few Redskin curmudgeons or die hards, but the vast majority will be with the RED WOLVES stuff.

Re: Will You Still Wear Your Skins Gear After?

Just wondering...does anyone think that when fans are allowed back in the stadium , they will be banned from entering the stadium if they are wearing anything with the Redskins name or word mark on it?

Thoughts anyone?

Re: Will You Still Wear Your Skins Gear After?

If the team TRIES to keep the fans from wearing Redskins gear, there will be a huge revolt. That would be the biggest blunder of Snyder's tenure and will kill the team. They have to respect the fans and history. An opportunity to have a fan base excited for the future and a new team identity will be completely ruined.

The fans didn't want this change. Some of us see how they were pressured into it and will accept the new name because we support the team and its players through good and bad, but trying to whitewash the team's history will NOT be accepted.

Re: Will You Still Wear Your Skins Gear After?

Why would they ban fans from wearing old gear? Sorry, dumb thing to even contemplate.
