Washington Hogs

It would be a nice tribute to Joe Bugel and throwback to the most successful years of the franchise. Marketability- Hogs are easy. We already have the Hogettes and other folks who dress up at games with pig noses. We can have pig races at tailgates. Adopt a hog mascot to run across the field for pregames. Hell bring a few more to the party and have a stampede. Food pork themes. Vegan pig. Cups/mugs that dual as pig noses when you raise your glasses. Stuffed animal pig toys. Oinking crowd noises.

Why does this work well as a football mascot? Hogs are agressive animals. Smart too. Always getting dirty and throwing their weight around. A tough mascot to exemplify a tough football team.

From a PR standpoint, the franchise could befriend PETA and throw money at animal welfare groups that focus on pig farms. Raise awareness about feral swine and invasive species.

I would honestly love the Hogs. But I don't think it's happening. Didn't receive much support online, and would be easy to joke on.

Love your whole post except for giving money to those extremists at PETA. Find a legitimate partner, not one that has been caught throwing dogs and cats in dumpsters while preaching ethical treatment of animals...and throwing animal blood on women with fur coats. Donate to free range farms and prop up humane producers. Farmers who supply restaurants have been suffering greatly through the pandemic, they could use support.

The team would be served well, and Snyder, to turn the new name into an outreach opportunity.

Of course, in D.C., if you choose the "wrong" charity (politically) you'll get crap from the same people that just canceled your name.
