They will keep it, there is no point in changing the name again next season. The branding is already there, and it's a good name to keep forever. I don't want to see Red wolves, so corny. If it's not Warriors just stick with WFT

Although I favor Red Wolves, there is something iconoclastic about WFT that appeals to me. It stands out among all the lions and tigers and bears, "Oh my!". It's as if we're telling the PC world: "We don't got to have no stinkin' mascot". And I've gotten to the point where I really like the retro unis too, numbers on the helmets and all - especially the all-white unis.

I get why not wanting Redwolves, but why do you like Warriors so much? It's a generic name and its already used by another pro sports team.

If we're going generic, just keep WFT. It's nothing but at the same time super original for U.S. sports teams.

I just like WARRIORS, plus it rings well.. "WASHINGTON WARRIORS"

But I'm 100% fine with keeping WFT

I too would rather have a name that represents something.

WFT sounds like Danny got high and was sitting around giggling and was like "what if... we just like... called it The Football Team lolololol"

I like warriors..works with the W on the helmet and pays homage to the military...the best of the best in this country
