What happens with Kyle Smith?

I'm not saying Smith isn't capable. He is the best thing we have had going in the FO in a long time. But you are comparing him to a HOF GM who built SB winners, drafted HOF players and brought in others that are close to the HOF. There just isn't any argument between the two right now.

I don’t know Gettleman well, but at his age I’m sure there is a performance drop off for NFL execs just like with players. When you get to be to an advanced age it has to be hard to maintain the grind of the demands of the job. You give me a young guy like Smith who is already within the organization and has demonstrated multiple successes with drafting talent vs. an older guy who has past experience but may bring a different perspective to how to do things, give me the young guy with continuity all day. I’m going to be pissed if anyone other than Kyle Smith is the guy.

Doesn’t sound good though so far from rumors and reports.
