Re: Bucs Postgame
This!! Not a Ryan fan, plus he’s on the downside.

Re: Bucs Postgame
Kyle Allen and Heineken should both be in the mix and brought back
Let’s just everyone agree Alex Smith needs to retire, if not we absolutely should not consider him an option next year.

Re: Bucs Postgame
For those blaming the defense, we played a pretty good QB who has great weapons and good line in front of him. Brady had a power running game helping him. Tampa defense is also no joke. Despite all of that, we had the ball down by 5 or 6 late in the 4th quarter with plenty of time and could not score. PERIOD. The defense played well enough to win against a very good team.
Heineke looks great. We finally have QB that has the brain, foot work, accurate arm and can scramble. He loves and plays well in our system. He has command of our system. What a concept! I really like this kid. He had no running game and was running for his life. We need to keep investing building the lines in the draft. It has served us well so far on defense. We need that on offense. Please, no more reaching for a QB or WR. If we had a running game today, we would have won. It is NOT the defenses fault. |

The secondary was terrible. They had guys running wide open all night. That isn’t because Brady is great right? That is because our secondary was crap. We were getting gashed by Fournette. Dude had his best game of the season. We gave the goat more time than he needed. The pass rush was non existent for the most part. Our defense is supposed to be the strength of the team. It is where all our resources have gone. Last night it underperformed and the offense over performed. |

I see 3 areas on the team where we will see a complete overhaul, Linebackers and Wide Receivers. TE as well. From those 3 position groups I’d say only Logan Thomas, Cole Holcomb and Terry are coming back. It’s gonna be like 10 new guys total between those 3 position groups.

TE is an area of need over secondary or o line? Nah. We probably need a tight end to pair with or back up Logan but it is far from a problem. O line, WR, mLb, and secondary. We better tighten those for areas the fuck up. |

Reaves, Curl, Collins, Fuller, Moreland all coming back. I’d like to see Darby back as well. Logan Thomas is the only thing at TE, and we can’t play 12 man package (2 tight) We need to add talent here so we can add this to the playbook. Helps the offense substantially, especially running the ball.

Re: Bucs Postgame
True, but we are talking about depth at best. We need a starter opposite Terry and I think now we need a better option in the slot. Just my feeling

Re: Bucs Postgame
AGG might be it, he needs a full camp. I just don’t want throwing money at free agents when we need to sign our own Scherff, Allen, have to also look into the future, Payne, Settle, etc.

Defense could have played a bit better and we win Offense could have played a bit better and we win Coaching needed to be better for us to win. In the end we were a 7-9 team with a QB off the street and new head coach that made a damn good showing and will make real noise next year in an improved division. Re: Bucs Postgame
Why is everyone acting like Heineken is some fragile oft injured quarterback who is 5-6 and 131 lbs?
Lets look at his injury history. College - zero injuries. NFL - 1) elbow injury in a game he threw 55 passes. He was let go without ever having a chance to prove himself there. Why? Because he was undrafted out of ODU. 2) concussion - again let go because when you are undrafted out of ODU and get injured you also get thrown away. Last night the O line was atrocious and the guy got banged around so much he needed to go to the locker room - most big strong tough real nfl quarterbacks would come back out with a baseball cap on - he came back out and almost won the game for us. Quarterbacks get injured guys. Outside of Eli Manning I cannot think of that many who are always healthy. Taylor Heineke having injury issues is a bunch of crap. |

Re: Bucs Postgame
The game went better than I expected, I thought we would lose badly. The defense didn't do much to support the team although they did prevent Bucs from scoring TDs in red zone, which is not easy considering the offense weapons Bucs have. The Dline excluding Payne was dominated by Bucs Oline.
We should bring Heinicke back for next year and have him compete for the starter spot. At this point, we have no idea who our QB will be so we definitely will need to have a QB competition during the training camp. I'm having hard time seeing Ryan and Stafford being released by their teams so I think we will have limited QB options so we need to look everywhere to find QBs to compete with Heinicke. I would absolutely love to keep Heinicke as back up if he doesn't win the starter spot. |
