Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
And go somewhere where he's the uncontested WR1 (and get paid WR1 $$).

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
I thought it was an odd FA choice Washington based on all things considered.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
Yeah I doubt Kyle Allen and Taylor Heineke are very attractive to pass catchers...

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
Tomorrow is the tag deadline, unless it gets extended. NFL still hasn't announced the actual salary cap yet.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
The team has tagged Brandon Scherff per Rap sheet

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
Still making the same mistakes. More leverage for Scherff and a bloated salary.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
Probably. We can but hope it is a tag and trade, but I doubt it. More speculatively, it could mean a trade-up in draft is planned, but that might be reading too much into it. If we could get a 3rd for Scherff, that is probably the best we could hope for.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
If a trade were to happen, I'm pretty sure both Scherff and the team would do a new deal. And I don't know about compensation, but anything better than a comp pick would be a win.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
... I don't get it. Are we gonna win the SB next year ? Cuz he ain't signing any deal unless it's significantly higher than what he could get in FA next year...

More like, we go after and land one of the big targets, or draft a #1a/#2 WR then pick up a 2nd tier guy in the lower rounds. I doubt we get Robinson or Golladay, as mentioned elsewhere they're likely to go where there's a QB. But Fuller or Samuel would be good #2's to Scary. |
