This article gives a concise breakdown of Mayhew's draft picks as GM with the Lions. id say mixed results, maybe a C grade. ![]() Member of the 1991 Washington Redskins Superbowl Champs -------------- Cam Sims is an exclusive rights FA meaning we offer a league min 1 yr contract and he has to accept. |

Depends what you mean by hit on. I think you need to cone away with 3-4 players that wind up being contributors and make your team better than it was to be a successful draft. Always nice if one or two turn out to be homeruns. |

Last year I'd say we hit on *Chase Young *Antonio Gibson *Kamren Curl And the verdict is not in on Charles or Gandy-Golden yet. If Charles gets healthy and AGG gets a normal preseason to learn, they could both be solid picks too.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
If we hire Mayhew as GM, I believe that the 49ers will receive 3 draft picks. Not certain on the round, but I think they are third rounders.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
I'm a little surprised by the Stafford love here. No chance I give up a first for him. I'd offer a 4th, knowing that that probably doesn't get it done.
That's as far as I'd go.

If he were on say, the Packers or Patriots instead of the Lions, he'd be considered one of the top QBs in the league. 4,000 yards every year, a 2:1 career TD:INT ratio...ON THE LIONS. He's one of 8 QBs in NFL history to throw for 5,000 in a season....again, ON THE LIONS. Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
Former #Panthers GM Marty Hurney is meeting with members of the Washington Football Team brass today including coach Ron Rivera, sources say. Hurney is the top candidate to be their new GM, a hire that could be official this week.

It’s one thing to bring in people you’re familiar with. It’s another to bring in EVERYONE from your previous employer and not diversify with people who will bring different perspectives. With each additional former Panther’s hire, I get a little more frustrated.
