Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Mariota also has injury concerns, seemed like he was always hurt there. He'd be my last resort

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Not interested in Mariota. He turns the ball over too much, just like Fitz"magic".
Trade #19 for Stafford, or bring in Tyrod Taylor. Both scenarios for me have them drafting a QB to develop either in 2021 or 2022. |

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I get the Tyrod , VA connection but lets be real... He's not very good. He never throws the ball downfield so he's another Alex Smith but not as accurate... No thanks

This is an old article, but sums up his capabilities: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/...off-contention Give him some weapons, a good running game and this defense, and it could be a nice recipe in my opinion. It wouldn't break the bank, and you keep all your draft picks. |

If Shanny was still here and we needed a backup for RG3, Tyrod would work. Not now.

Tyrod has been a victim of some unfortunate circumstances to be honest. Regime change in Buffalo - traded to Browns to be their starter who turned to Baker after one bad game, brought in by the Chargers to be their starter then the team Dr. pierces his lung giving him a pain shot for his fractured ribs... He's not Deshaun Watson...I'm just saying if you don't want to break the bank, don't want to give up draft picks, want someone who doesn't turn the ball over, is a dual threat, can throw the ball down the field, is relatively young, and has a winning record, he just might be your guy. |

I'm not confident in Mariota as a starter either.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
I’d sign Mariotta, Tyrod, Dalton, keep Allen and Heinicke and draft someone. Hell you get 90 guys for the offseason, sign as many guys as you can and see who sticks. We HAVE to solve the QB issue. I’m thinking the more guys you bring in the better.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Lowest Turnover-Worthy Play Rate in the NFL in 2020:
1. TB Tom Brady - 1.6% T-2. DET Matthew Stafford - 2.3% T-2. GB Aaron Rodgers - 2.3% 4. HOU Deshaun Watson - 2.6% That is Stafford's lowest in his career (min 100 pass attempts)

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Wondering if it would be worth offering 2 of our dline for Watson. We have the depth to handle that. Perhaps we even keep our 1st that way. Thoughts?

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
One Dlineman a 1st a 3rd and if forced a 2nd rounder next year. 2 dlineman your cutting into the depth.

If we keep this defense intact and fill the couple of weak points, the D alone will put us in contention every year no matter how crappy the offense is. The price to get Watson is going to be counterproductive, I'd rather get Stafford and an elite WR instead of Watson if we're moving on from Alex.
