Like I said Fitzpatrick would be my QB of last resort. If we can't draft anyone or find anything better in free agency RF isn't a bad option and at the very least gives you a good option to compete with Allen and Heinicke and be the veteran mentor.

I would rather see what Heinecke has for one year than waste time on busts and retreads. Especially because you end up surrendering picks for Darnold and Mariota, almost certainly multiple picks for either. If we redrafted today, based on NFL production, Darnold and Mariota certainly aren't 1st round picks, and maybe not even 2nd. There are QBs just as good available in 2nd and 3rd rounds, that are young, and on cheap rookie deals. The sound approach is drafting our QB.
