More depth on the o line. Gotta love that. Whether Leno starts or not - i think he will - it is boosting the trenches. When you have both trenches run deep you win games.

I like Leno's signing. We Washington fans of all should know the importance of quality OL depth.
I don't care who wins the job, let 'em compete, start the best man, keep the best men, regardless of draft position.
Saadhiq Charles never seemed to have NFL hands technique to me, I won't sweat one bit if he ends up being cut. Won't sweat either if Christian gets cut.

Dude, I like Charles a lot. His career has been derailed due to injury only. If he can stay healthy this season, don't be shocked if he is our starting LG.

BTW Y'all, who is our backup center? Is that one of Schweitzer's many talents?

If all goes well, we'll have a good, deep OL. Nice job by the FO!

I know a lot you guys liked Charles quite a lot when we drafted him, and I still hope you're right. Injuries sure are an issue, I just felt like the few we saw of him doesn't guarantee he's a starting NFL LT even without the injuries.

Let's hope every one is 100% come summer, and we can have a legit TC left tackle competition.

I think you need to ease up on the Saddiq Charles being no good, there were no off season activities last year, no preseason and he played about 2 snaps. The coaching staff loved him last year despite the injuries and had him as the starter at LG ahead of Schweitzer as a rookie.

I'm not saying he is not good, I watched a couple of highlights and the 2 snaps he played for us, how could I know ?
I'm saying every one acting like it's sure thing he's an NFL starter seems like a bit much to me. College highlights show athleticism but very stiff and suspect hand technique to me.
And here is the one snap he played for us before getting injured on a pull play. Doesn't look very confortable to me.
All I'm saying is I'm glad we got depth, and if this coaching staff think they got better options and make a roster decision I'll trust them.

I'm not going to critique a guy on his first NFL snap. He's going to be nervous as all hell unless he's got ice blood. The coaches will have seen him in x snaps in training and will know from that if he's got a hope. They won't keep a guy around if he hasn't got the tools they can use, whether he needs coaching up or not. If he didn't look like he had potential from training they'd have set him loose with an injury settlement. But this summer is when he needs to prove it. If he stays healthy but struggles or simply can't stay healthy he'll be gone.

Again, I have absolutely not enough football knowledge nor watched enough of him to know nor say that he has no potential. I actually know for a fact he has some.
All I'm saying is acting like he's a lock to become an NFL starter is a bit of a stretch, he has to be behind a lot of people on the depth chart right now.

Re: Post Draft Free agency targets

We've been talking about the crazy depth we've added to WR, but our offensive line has more bodies than we know what to do with!

LT
Charles Leno
Geron Christian
Cornelius Lucas
LG
Wes Martin
Ereck Flowers
C
Chase Roullier
Tyler Larsen
Tony Bergstrom
Wes Schweitzer
Keith Ismael
Beau Benzschawel
Camaron Cheeseman
RG
Brandon Scherff
Josh Garnett
RT
Morgan Moses
David Sharpe
Saahdiq Charles
Samuel Cosmi

We can start by discounting...

Christian
Martin
Larsen
Bergstrom
Benzschawel
Cheeseman
Garnett
Sharpe

None of whom will contribute to the OL unless we have a slew of injuries.
