He was really dominant. I forgot he played for them and had to look up his stats. That is probably his best two year stretch. You could argue 86 and 87 but different hitters in the 80s. Although in '87 he threw 18 complete games and 7 shut outs which would be unbelievable now.

I miss the days of when your starter would go 7 or 8 with a complete game not being all that uncommon. Now it's 5 or 6 innings from your starter and then it's a game of bullpen roulette hoping you can just hold on.

I have always loved Jack Morris think he probably be in the HOF. To this day that game 7 1991 is the single greatest World Series pitching I have witnessed. Going way beyond starter expectations when starter expectations were high.
