Exactly. With a TURD owner like THE DAN that has screwed EVERYONE on the way out the door, with the only exception being Gibbs.

Players have precious little power under the CBA, I don't fault a player for exploiting leverage one of the few times they get it. Also give Cousins credit for not taking a $50M bonus and demanding a trade the next year. He wanted out, so didn't sign a long-term deal.

Cousins was NEVER going to resign because he is a moral man and THE DAN is a turd. Pile on the fanboy favoritism the owner showed RGIII, and it was over.

Not resigning him was the right choice. Cousins a stellar human being, but will never lead a team to SB Victory. You had receivers demanding trades or refusing to resign with Vikes to escape Cousins, who checks down WAY too much and when he does go deep is inaccurate. I'm no Fitz fan, but he at least has some moxy and a killer instinct, Cousins is a USDA choice pussy.
