I'd debate that. They've made clear they want connections to the franchise's past, ie the colors are staying, that's not a full clean slate. It's not a new team, it's a new name and identity for this team.

I hear the fact that the fight song with new lyrics could be cringe worthy to some, but I don't know that it absolutely has to go.
It was one of the things fans loved, quite unique in the league, and it could be rebooted to fit many of the fans favorite options.

Again, I hear that some could dislike it, but I disagree that it's not an option in a rebranding.
