Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
So much for the Dallas Cowboys’ hopes of finally being at full strength for Thursday’s season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
On the same day that left guard Connor Williams returned to practice after being activated off the NFL’s COVID-19 list, coach Mike McCarthy announced that Pro Bowl right guard Zack Martin will miss the Buccaneers game after testing positive for COVID-19. Martin is fully vaccinated but the NFL return-to-play protocols make it impossible for him to be cleared before Thursday. A fully vaccinated player can return to play in five days if he does not have symptoms following two negative tests separated by 24 hours. An unvaccinated player faces at least a 10-day quarantine. “He’s frustrated obviously,” coach Mike McCarthy said. “But, hey, this is the world we live in right now.” Read more here: https://www.star-telegram.com/sports...#storylink=cpy Im not doing a Nelson "ha ha" here bc I think we will miss random guys at random times this season as well. |

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
The blame game is so lame. Every team has had Covid outs, Dallas had half their coaching staff out at one point and they were a highly valued team. Until this last week we were one of the least affected teams.
This is just the world we live in right now. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

It's classic Redskins - we waste half the season playing mediocre football, get our shit together for a month and then when we're in the thick of the playoff fight we lose half our d-line to the covid list. Really only one conclusion I can draw. Fuck Dan Snyder.

Since Covid is rearing its head, I figured I would pull this thread back up.
37 positive tests in one day. https://www.thescore.com/nfl/news/2250855 Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
And it's a huge difference with vaccinated vs not as far as being able to get back into the lineup more quickly. If you're vaccinated two negative tests in a 24 hr period and you're back. Non vaccinated you're out 10 days at a minimum. So let's not just toss up our hands and say oh well, this is just our world right now.

Coronavirus (sports edition) thread

Everyone doing their best to act like there is just nothing we can do. ![]() Reminds me of that old adage,… Guy is on his roof because the town is flooded. A boat comes along and the guy says “no thanks God will save me”. Helicopter comes “no thanks God will save me”. Guy drowns and goes to heaven and asks God why he didn’t save him? God says I sent a boat and a helicopter dude. Vaccines are our boat / helicopter out of this mess but we gonna sit on the roof and curse covid instead. |

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
This isn't clear at all. It's just picking the lowest hanging fruit.
