That's what I'm thinking with a rather bland possibility like Commanders. A killer logo would bring it all together.

I get what you are saying but picking a bland name and trying to spruce it up with the logo would be so Dan snyderesque. Like putting makeup on a pig. There is no reason the name AND logo shouldn't be a winner. Especially if they have devoted the time, energy and money to the selection as they imply they have.

I'm just saying that no matter what the name is, there will be people that won't like it. One person's clean and simple is another's generic and boring. So for those that don't like the name maybe the logo saves it from being a total fail for them.

Early 2022 is when it'll be. Be ready for some teasing up until then.

I think, minus Tanya's "8 name list that wasn't a final 8 list but maybe it was but no it was just something people made up from the names mentioned in the twitter video" snaffu, they are being quite smart with the whole thing.

I already get the feeling that some people who were in the "if they change the name I'm out" camp moved to "jeez pick a name already"...

With Redwolves or Redanything, they could use the old "R" logo from the Lombardi/early- Allen era. Switch the feather to a wolf's tail. Or use the scripted "R" made famous by Joe Gibbs.

Commanders sounds like an arena football team.
