The NRA is the obstacle between what we have now, and what we could have with better gun control laws.
They obviously want every man woman and child no matter their age or mental health to have a gun. And as long as they are funding the GOP, the GOP will never allow stricter gun control laws. Stop acting like playing connect the dots there is the Pythagorean theorem when it is clearly 1+1.

No they did not pull the trigger. Yes that gun was super easy for junior to get his hands on, and it doesn’t have to be.

This argument will never change any minds that disagree with you.

So no matter what the gun used is or the circumstances surrounding the shooting, every single shooting is the NRA's and republicans' fault? And let's not wait for the facts to come out to make a judgment? I think waiting for the facts for every situation is a good idea, and especially for something like this.

This shooting, like 99% of all shootings, is one person's fault: The person that pulled the trigger.

Come on man. In no other country in the world, for the most part, can anyone get their hands on a gun so easy.
It is an epidemic in this country, and that is because there are so many guns in circulation and that is because they are too easy to get. The NRA funds the Republican party so the Republican party leaves gun control alone.
None of what I just wrote is opinion. It is all fact.

In too many other countries these morons cant get their hands on guns so easy to pull the trigger SD. It is why this happens so much in the United States. Nobody is saying they want to take your guns away man.

Maybe just make it harder for every twisted fuck who wants to use them to kill other people to get their hands on one? Is that really an opinion that you do not share?

Should it be so easy for almost anyone to buy a freakin gun??

My father in law owns several and trust me when I tell you that nobody is getting their hands on one of them. They are for the deer. It is inexcusable that so many of these people can get a gun at the drop of a hat. And it is a problem that can be solved if the Republicans would get more involved. They dont for one reason. The NRA’s money. You can call that an opinion but than you might as well call oxygen being necessary for breathing an opinion.

Im not trying to change your mind about the second amendment dude. Nobody is. At this point we might as well sell them in 7-11’s though and that is a fuckin problem.

I think it should be easy for every American that is legally allowed to own a gun to get one. And I absolutely oppose trying to limit what type of gun people can get.

I'd rather live in a free society with our constitutional rights and possibly die in a random shooting, than live in an oppressed society where the government tells me what I can and can't have. I'll take my chances with my fellow Americans over giving the government control over my life.

I'm not opposed to background checks and improving that process. We have background checks for lots of things, like a job, line of credit, etc.

As a country, we need to spend a lot more time, energy, and money on mental health. And normalizing talking about it and receiving help. I'm a work on progress on this myself, as I think people my age and older often consider people soft for being sensitive, needing help, etc. In actuality, asking for help if needed is probably the most strong-minded thing anyone can do. It takes toughness to let someone in. I know I struggle with sharing things with people I know.

Also, I'm huge on freedoms but with that I'm huge on serious punishment. I'm for legalizing all drugs, but if you are proven guilty of committing a crime while under the influence, then you will face severe prison time. And I think the same for guns, if you are proven guilty of committing a crime with a gun then you face severe prison time. With great power comes great responsibilities.

It isn’t easy to buy a car SD. Or a house. Why should guns be so easy? And why do you need an assault rifle?
By your standards you should be able to drive down a neighborhood street doing 110 cus the government shouldn’t be able to tell you how fast to drive. You should be able to light fires in the woods.
Maybe fly planes without a pilots license while you are at it. This isn’t the fuckin wild west. If it was the whole country would be a damn ghost town. That kind of attitude is the reason we need laws and rules in place. And being told you cannot own a grenade launcher doesn’t make you oppressed. Not even close.

I agree about addressing mental health 100 percent though. I hope you get whatever help you need SD - in my book you are the tits. We disagree on shit thats all. My daughter is going through some stuff right now and it is the toughest thing ive ever dealt with. Good luck brother.

LOL, horseshit! . I get it's your opinion and yes you are entitled to it but it is BS!. See I have no problem with the second amendment but no not everyone should own a gun there should be requirements age for one ,insurance for another ,required training and license's, permits etc for starters. .No need for civilians to own military weapons ....from anywhere. Strange how when we want to we listen to what a bunch of old white men said a few hundred years ago. The same guys who said you could own blacks and they and women had no say in the way this Country should work. Did we listen to that?
