I agree - especially considering Parcell's newfound love for the flea-flicker. Didn't Dallas burn KC for a TD on a flea-flicker? And didn't we get burned for a TD on the same play in the first game?

And if I remember correctly they burned us on a flea flicker or HB pass last year when we played them here.

This game is the biggest of the year for both teams without a doubt.

If Washington wins, they own sole possesion of second in the NFC East because they own the tie-breaker over Dallas. Also it puts them is position for the NFC Wild Card because of that tie-breaker. Dallas cannot afford to loose this week. This is even a bigger game than the KC game.

However if Washington looses, then that puts them 2 games out of the wild card race with 2 games to play, and even if they win out against New York and Philly, they would still need help from other teams to have a prayer at the post season. Tampa, Atlanta and Carolina would have to loose thier final two games for WAshington to have a chance at the Wild-Card.

Both teams play-off aspirations will be at stake. The winner has a legitimate shot at the Wild-Card, while the loser will most likely watch the play-offs on TV like the rest of us.

My concern is the matchup on the left side. In week 2 Dallas had a Pro-Bowl Tackle there with Flozell Adams. Adams went down Oct 16th and is out for the season. Torrin Tucker is starting at LT and he is not near as good as Adams.

Greg Williams is really good at disguising biltz packages and I think that Tucker may get burned.

When these 2 defensive coordinators square off, there is not a lot of scoring. GOnna be a nail biter. The game will be decided in the 4th quarter, and with the depth that Dallas has on the defensive front, it gives them the edge because of thier ability to rotate defenders and keep players rested for the later quarters. This will be the deciding factor.

I am concerned about this game because dallas (while not an elite team like indy) is a bonafide playoff contender (unlike Ariz & SF). I just cant stop thinking that the skins just dont score enough points to win and even if the defense hold the boys to 17 points the redskins offense wont even score that many. The skins need to prove to me they can score and handle the better teams in the nfl before I'll feel like the skins will win this one.

This is funny. Untill the KC game the Cowboy boards said exactly the same thing. Dallas had an offence that sucked and couldn't score, and a Defense that was good and had to get turnovers for the offence to score.

Not to clown around but I've seen about 6 of your posts with Offense spelled with a "c." And you spell Defense with an "s", I think you missed spelling class in 2nd grade. Are you from England? Regardless your posts are educated. You've just missed one thing, our 3rd man and dump routes.
Prediction: Cooley, Sellers and Jacobs all have 4 catches and 3 TD's between them. I bet BP missed the boat this week on preparation. Oh, and do not forget that HB pass and that Portis can also toss the ball around a bit.

You are right, I can't bring myself to spellcheck a word I should know how to spell so I figure it will click in sooner or later. Then I just go and spell it wrong again.

I did worry about your dump passes to your TE and FB. I know those guys - Cooley esp - can get first downs. I have seen Cooley put it on the ground a few times though. If Portis get that HB option to work I think I will turn the television off. I thought Sellers had been injured.

Seriously, the DB's better be watching when Portis lopes out toward the sideline without seriously looking for a hole inside.

Our offensive line is on high gear right now and will crush the Dat-less CGirls D all day. Not to mention Sean Taylor is playing as well as anyone in the NFL right now and our D line is almost completely healthy. Did anyone see the Chiefs completely have their way with Dallas at the line of scrimmage? It was ridiculous.

I really feel like Dallas fans are reaching on this one, talking about how their healthy secondary is going to be the difference in a game that will obviously be won in the trenches and hinge on the run, which the Redskins D is very prepared to SHUT DOWN.

Welllll.......I wouldn't exactly say our o-line is in high-gear right now. We had a couple of good games against very average defensive lines. On a couple of occasions we couldn't punch it in from the goal line or third and very short. I think how they stand up against Dallas will be the best test we've had since, oh perhaps the San Diego game.

And please don't take this as me trying to counter everything in your post, but our defensive line is a little hobbled right now. Everyone will suit up, but I doubt everyone is completey healthy...then again no one in the NFL is completely healthy at this time of the year.

I feel you on Taylor's play, though. He's playing really good ball right now. He's playing the run very well, and we know what he can do when the ball's in the air. I think he should be a Pro-Bowler this year, but we'll see how the chips fall.

Brunell is gonna take some serious shots downfield this game, i know it. it's not going to be as chip here FG there as the past couple games.
