Re: WFT v. Packers Good Loss post-game
This is a fact that cannot be mitigated or explained away. The extraordinary patience exhibited by Ron Rivera in this case is not a virtue. This level of defensive incompetence demands immediate personnel changes, either in players, coaches or both. Honestly, if Rivera fails to make swift, effective changes to the defense, his job should rightfully be on the line. As much as I would hate to see him lose his job, he is now fair game, IMO.

He didn't play an amazing game - but I saw him a couple times making stops around the LOS. I'm good with it. Less chasing receivers down the field, more stopping runs for short gains.

Now, they have turned a highly paid veteran player (Collins) into a role player. RR has lost sight of what he was brought in to do which was to acquire and develop young players to build a perennial contender. |

Easy to second guess Ron's decision making because our D is still pretty bad 7 weeks into the season, but this is not a decision I'm questioning.

Im certainly not going to act like he was the next Darrell Green, but I liked him. He played well here whenever he was given the opportunity. I thought he would develop into a good player for us. Thought he already had. I didn’t like the move. Can’t explain whats going on with him in Houston but he was good here. |

Im no fan of RR. But what was he supposed to do with Collins? It isn’t like he didn’t have plenty of chances. Dude sucks. He sucks less playing LB. Not sure what Rons options were there. |
