I don't think you are limited to one of those options. You could trade for a guy like Trubisky and still target a QB (and you should) top 5 or somewhere else in the draft.

I don't care where the qb is picked - as long as Ron & co are convinced he's the best guy for us.

Trading for Mitch just gives us another short term option while we look for the long term one. Ofc this is all a moot point since now we can't trade for Mitch until the offseason. That's the reality though - we are gonna be looking at other team retreads until we find our next long-term plan in the draft.
