Re: WFT vs. the bye week thread

Apparently Rivera is not trying out any kickers during the bye week. Wants to stick with Blewitt and give him time. For what? To see if he can get enough air under the ball to clear the crossbar? Wow. How in the hell are u not trying out any kicker who will try out?

C.R.A.Z.Y.

So either cutting Hopkins was about sending a some sort of weak message to the locker room... But now what message does keeping a guy obviously unable to do his job send ?!

Or it was simply about trying to improve the position... In which case they are the worst kicker evaluating staff in sports history...

It was both. I mean how do you cut a guy when there is no plan b? Was Blewitt nailing 50 yarders while playing on his phone or something and we just don’t know it? Did you actually try him out? His kicks are beyond bad. At this point Im calling Hopkins back. Did he sign somewhere?

He signed with the Chargers. Probably happy as hell.

Yop. Chargers... Having witnessed the London tie first hand I'll be the first to tell you how meaningful kicks he missed... But he's still a legit NFL kicker.

It's just unbelievable to me,the whole situation is.Only the Redskins, and I truly mean only, would sign a kicker that hasnt kicked in 4 years, sucked in college, and to top it off his name is Blewitt,WTF!!!!! Why would you even sign him to begin with! Makes no sense whatsoever. And now you're still going to keep him? We have to be tanking and Ron is in on it

I think we are tanking. I wonder if Ron wishes he had last year.
