Re: Where was Rock?

Rock Cartwright had ONE very good game against a horrid rush defense. That's why he didn't get the call in a game that the Skins needed the top flight offensive skills on the team to get the job done.

The Rock is a stopgap player; as of this moment, Nemo is behind him.

That's the short answer to "Where was Rock?"

I saw all those skills Sunday in Betts as he lit up the field for 6 yards on 5 carries. LOL I like Betts but Rock has played very well the past two games when given a chance. Sometimes players get in that grove and I had wished Gibbs would have given him a couple of snaps to see if he could keep things going.

He was staying warmed up on sideline all game. I yelled "PUT ROCK IN" and he looked back in my direction and smiled.

Rock had a very good game against San Diego the week before. He scored on his first run. I don't know about you, but the Rock seems to find the endzone against decent to very good teams. Remember he scored against the Patriots in 2003 that won the game 20-17. I'm just hoping he can get the ball in the redzone or in the third and fourth corner to offer a different pace against a worn out defense.
