It is honestly a very strange decision all things considered.

Only thing I can think of is he had to take a shit.

Harbaugh has been making a bunch of stupid decisions this season:

- Making JK Dobbins play in a meaningless preseason game for a meaningless preseason record.

- Having Lamar run late in a game where they were winning big, for a stupid consecutive games with 100 rushing yards record.

- And now going for 2 instead of going for the tie and attempt to winning it in OT.
