I am 100% into campaign finance laws, I think every donation every politician receives should be tracked to figure out what foreign money is being injected into our politics - and I also think politician's spending should be tracked to figure out who is actually spending their donations on their campaigns and who is funneling it into their own pockets. For instance - if Russian oligarchs donate to the NRA and then the NRA donates to Republican candidates - I 100% think that should be tracked and penalized as foreign influence on our elections.

But I digress. Your party controls the house Chico, if they want to embark on a bunch of partisan investigations that is their right.

Glenn Youngkin is growing on me. He's definitely on the leaderboard of my personal 2024 presidential candidates list.

Unfortunately, he's toast and so is Desantis. Trump is definitely going to announce he is running on Tuesday. Once he does the 2024 election is essentially over it becomes a foregone conclusion that the Dems will win. Reasons are Trump will be overwhelmingly favored to win the nomination but he can't win the general election. If somehow he gets defeated in the primaries he and his cult will turn on whoever stole (- because that is how he and his supporters will characterize it) the nomination, and sink the GOP nominee.

Don't disagree with any of this. But all I can do is use my own vote the best I can. Can't control anyone else.

trump takes no responsability for anything.

Trump Wants McConnell Out for Failing to Stop Him From Screwing Up the Midterms

“He isn’t making explicit asks, but he wants to see more Republicans holding Mitch accountable,” a person close to Trump told CNN.

According to CNN sources, in phone calls with allies, Trump has bashed McConnell, claiming he wasted money in races where Republicans faced an uphill battle while ignoring candidates who had a better chance at winning. Trump aides have mentioned Alaska’s Senate race, where the McConnell-aligned super PAC, Senate Leadership Fund, spent $5 million attacking Trump-endorsed Republican candidate Kelly Tshibaka, who was challenging incumbent GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski. Tshibaka now leads Murkowski by almost 1.5%, putting her at an advantage going into the upcoming runoff election.

Runoff election???? Am I missing something???? I thought they just retabulate the votes from last week using the ranked choice system.

That is the classic red herring response. Why should we lower our standards as Americans? We are either leaders or we aren't. This is the equivalent of parents of telling a ten year old they need to go to bed at 8 pm and they complaining that Johnny's parents let them stay up till 11.

Is China doing their part? No but neither are we. We can lead by example improve technology and be innovators that make efficiency and renewable far more reliable and affordable.

Right now I don't give a shit what China is doing until we actually start doing something ourselves.

Kari Lake said she wants to be governor full term.

What if Trump picks MTG?

Gonna be a sideshow next couple of years regardless.

Going to try and not take any of this too serious, its all out of my control anyway. Bitching and moaning on here doesnt change anything.

I kinda hope Trump announces today - it's gonna force the conservatives to make a tough decision - endorse a loser whose handpicked candidates all lost in the midterms, or tell him he ain't shit and have to deal with the fallout.

Trump in the meantime has a tough decision to make. His next VP candidate will probably be a female to get that female vote, but he needs someone who would be loyal to the end unlike Pence - Pence literally was the only person standing in the way of Trump holding onto power. MTG? Lake? Boebert? Noem? Tough choice.
