Re: Name Reveal 2.2.22

Well sure, they could have had a long drawn out process trying to use redwolves or some variation of wolves, but in the end is it really worth an extended legal battle only to probably end up being denied and back to square one? I think some of you are really oversimplifying what this process takes. And imagine the backlash of a legal battle to use a name that another team doesn't want them to take.

It depends entirely on what they end up with - if it is as lame as Commanders the legal path would be worth it. If they wanted wolves or redwolves and got the nfl behind the name change I doubt it would have had to be drawn out.

As was pointed out, a minor league soccer team has been using Redwolves for two plus years while the lawyers work out the details.

I think they've had enough headaches with the name and just want to start fresh with no hurdles in the way.

lol ok, for you perhaps

But for the team, they've already told us wolves wasn't worth their time

Or they simply didn't like it enough, probably a combo of both

As much has I hate Snyder, it's his team, ultimately he can name it whatever he wants

He can, he can continue to put trash on the field too. I can choose otherwise.

To be clear, I hope they can get it right and the name is outstanding.

I don't even recall fans saying "Commanders or Admirals"

The team knew all along it wouldn't use fans input lol

not to mention they've just been doing battle over the previous team name for like 3 decades. I don't want to give Snyder any benefit of the doubt, but I agree.
