I wait until the spring and it gets reduced (Xbox), and I'll never spend money on Ultimate Team. If I had a decent PC, I'd use custom rosters every year and edit the league settings to replicate the real league as mush as possible, and never buy an other copy.

It's insane that people literally spend thousands on packs.

Having no real competition is probably the main reason EA gets away with this BS.

They are, but EA has the exclusive rights to a "simulation" football game (it's clearly not as we know). So 2K's game will likely be something more arcade like along the lines of NFL Blitz or something.
