I don't mind Warthogs I prefer it not be Hogs.

As much as i loved the Gibbs era i am just over it; time to move on from it.

Redtails is not bad, i can deal with that.

I like warthogs. It is unique has ties to the Redskins for those that need that and I like the connection to the rugby team that was in DC.

Redtails not bad either.

I would also embrace something so brazingly stupid that is makes me to an Old School Yes!

I actually like Redtails as I have huge respect for the Tuskegee Airmen-I intentionally took my son to an event to meet one of them because I wanted him to see the embodiment of service, courage, and unselfishness, especially under extreme conditions.

I just fear that when we are bad- and history shows we pretty much always will be- then other fans are going to use it against us.

to be fair, having Wart in the name wouldn't be any better

Regardless, the opposing team will find a way to make fun.

Super interesting info in there ! Thanks a lot.

For those who haven't clicked the link, basically there's a convention (actually called the Paris Convention, cocorico !) that allows you to file a trademark in any of 178 countries and still have priority at the first application date if you file in another country within 6 months.
And some of these countries don't allow online search.

So it's a near certainty that somewhere in a tiny unknown country lies the trademark to the next name of this franchise.

Doesn't give us any intel concerning this case, but quite fascinating IMO.

Somewhere on a tiny desk in a trademark office in Papau New Guinea, there lies a trademark application with our new name on it. Nice.
