Some seem to be missing the point that we wont have a 1st round pick if we trade for someone, probably not a 2nd or a 1st next years either. None of these teams are going to give up franchise QBs cheaply even if/when we take all of the cap hit. There will be a strong market with some teams willing to give up a ton of picks to get them and, taking off the rose tinted glasses, much better potential destinations than WFT.

The cap hit/draft pick compensation means it is unlikely Ron will be able to significantly improve the roster if he trades for one of these guys, and I just don't see a Rodgers or Wilson looking at it as a contender as it stands. And it still remains the fact that Danny is running the team and they know it, so if Ron doesn't show significant improvement over the next two years, or even next year, the could be looking at a team with another coach/front office and in rebuild. I expect that WFT won't be on the lists of their preferred teams however hard Ron swings for the fences.
