I personally don't like the name of the uniforms but it is what it is at this point.

It’ll grow on you, at the end of the day it’s all about wins and losses anyway. If they still suck then nobody will buy in

I feel like logo could have been more than a W. Maybe it's because it just sounds like a name for a team in a movie right now. Maybe it will grow on me, maybe it won't either way no point in fighting it.

I just look back at teams that recently had name changes Titans always sounded cool to me, even Texans sounded normal the first time I heard it. Idk why I just hear "Commanders" and my brain is like "Wow that is shit" I'll just keep repeating it to myself over and over so I get used to it. Yeah wins fix everything. Sidenote I always liked the name "Wizards"

At least we can say Tom Brady never beat the Commanders

Don't know why I didn't think of it before, but they should have named themselves with a logo like "Prince" did. Then they couldn't say we had a racist name but they would have to call us "the football team formerly known as the Redskins." (I also liked the fact that when they blocked a video this year the message said it had been blocked by the "Washington Redskins".)

(I also thought we should call ourselves the "Cannibals" since Bezos is the one who forced the issue.) (j/k)

Trash owner
Trash name
Trash uniforms

But so glad the fan's input was so important. Except for basically no one remotely preferred that name.

Snyder you truly are a disgusting piece of shit human.

One thing I hadn't really thought about, and I didn't really understand why having an easy way to shorten the name was important... Is what do you chant in the stadium... Or even at a bar... Like every 2 syllables team can say "let's go one-two" the way we used to say "let's go Redskins"... Most one syllable short nick name say "Go one go", or even just "let's go ooone"... Just trying to find a way to shout or chant something that rolls off the tong with Commanders...
You enthusiastic people have to help me out here, can't find anything...

But how do you chant it with any kind of rythme ? Like the "let's go one-two *clapclapclapclapclap* let's go one-two" that every 2 syllables team uses, or the "go one go! Go one go!" For one syllable teams ?

True, but . . .

Every NFL team has a one or two syllable name. The only exceptions (49ers, Cardinals, Buccaneers, Patriots) clip their name to fit the chant (Niners, Cards or Card-nals, Bucs, Pats). I imagine ours will be clipped to C’man-ders, though I personally like Commies. This opens the door to our defense (or I suppose our offense down the road) becoming the Red Menace and Dan Snyder being That Commie Bastard.

Yeah that's my point, every other three or more syllables team can shorten it's name to one or two syllables. Many people said it before and I didn't really understood why it was a big deal, but now that I'm trying to move on with this name and picture myself cheering for the Commanders, I realize there's no easy natural way to chant this name or a shorten version of it...

Only thing that sounds half way decent to me is Manders.

My #1 question to Wright is "Why did you think doing this on the Today show was a good idea?"

I cant for the life of me understand how any marketing person would think turning the reveal over to a network tv show that you cant control is a good idea. The intro that focused on the racist name and scandals killed the thing before it started. Plus it had to fit into the length of a Today show segment. I wonder if that's why Wright looked so shell shocked when they went to him for the name reveal. This was doomed before it started by putting it on the Today show.

That reveal was disastrous. I can't find a way to easily upload the 8min video, but if you guys wanna check it out, here's a link to download the video (available one week)

#1 answer: Dan Snyder and his Addiction to Publicity.

A alcoholic does not discern between Dom Perigone and Milwaukee's Best. He needs the fix.

Danny is intoxicated by attention, publicity, and big moves. Good or bad, he HAS to have it.

I would not doubt that he is looking forward to today's hearings in Congress.

Wright was just following Dan's diktats.
