Don't worry, they'd probably choose Monaco anyway where they can rub elbows with super rich snobs like themselves.

The alternative is it stays a big mistake and complete clown show. I'd rather they just admit the mistake, fix it and move on. Life goes on.

Technically they weren't wrong, it's just not the common and accepted way anybody refers to those teams.

Not wrong, just not in stride with how the rest of the world views who won the superbowls in those years. I have never said we won a superbowl in 92, or 88, or 83?

Im glad they fixed it.

If they win next year do they have to wait five years to update the crest?

I kid I kid

Re: Welcome your Washington Commanders

It looks like a 10 year old designed that crest. A basis rule when you are designing something like that is less is always better. Just way too much on there. Way too busy. Whomever designed that looks like a college kid doing his/her first project in graphic design.

Are the SB years really needed? Why are you trying to have people remember something that current ownership had nothing to do with? Just another example of them trying to milk the past. Just another ploy to hang on to the past cause there is nothing to put on there since Dan took the team over. Redskin fans know when the SB's were won. We don't need to be reminded of that.

What other NFL team has something that looks like this? Do the Giants have some weirdo crest of all their SB's? Steelers? Cowboys? Broncos? Pats? It screams an act of a team that is trying to prove some kind of relevance. They aren't relevant anymore. Look at your stadium every Sunday for the past several years.

Re: Welcome your Washington Commanders

I think the motivation was to identify that this is not anew franchise and link it to past accomplishments. Personally I agree that it is not needed and looks better w/o it but I aint mad about it.

I agree about it looking too busy, but I also don't think comparing it to the Steelers, Giants etc is a relevant argument. Those teams weren't forced to rebrand nearly 90 years into their existence.

Also this notion that because the team hasn't been relevant they should build a brand that just scraps the past is silly IMO. If somehow someway the Commanders manage to be a team worth talking about (for good reasons), the nods to the past are going to tie those different eras together.
