I know a man who is now a woman and her kids call her mom. So the answer to your question is yes.

Any chance Dan sells the team prior to the season? Now that I'm on the east coast, I would really like to go see a game. I will be 39 by the time the season starts, and have only got to see them play live once in San Francisco.

Fuckin' Snyder, I don't want to give him any money though.

Re: Welcome your Washington Commanders

I just got this hoodie off Fanatics and I'm pretty pleased with it, I actually love the crest. But I still call them the Redskins when I talk about them out loud with people. Nobody bats an eye.

I just read that they're bringing back the marching band and revamping the words to the fight song. Bro, you can try, but that crowd is singing Hail to the Redskins when that tune plays, no matter what words you flash up on the jumbotron.

I have mixed feelings about that. I loved the fight song, and I want to be happy that they listened to those of us saying it needed to stay. But I'm not sure how it connects well with Commanders... But I'll wait and see the revamped version.
No matter what, glad the song is staying.

I think they want to make sure they still play the tune knowing full well people are going to use the old lyrics. They can’t say it but I think they want it that way.

For now? For sure. But 10/20 years from now ? Are today's kids doing to know the lyrics of the fight song of a team they never cheered for ?

They aren't going to play the old tune with new lyrics. They have said it will be a new arrangement of the song so there will be familiar elements to the tune but it will sound more different than the same.

Maybe you can use that sweatshirt as a rag. Clean the house or car w/ it. :-)

Re: Welcome your Washington Commanders

I find it easy to just say Washington when referring to the team. If people want to feel like they are bucking the system by saying Redskins, go on with your bad self. You crazy.

Redskins or Skins is just so much easier to say when having a conversation.

Washington Commanders is such a long name.

I typically just say Redskins for brevity.

The face masks really pull the look together. They’re definitely growing on me.
