Indy benefited from Atlanta being a loser in the Watson sweepstakes.

I like this deal better than the Wentz trade. Man, could have had a starter for less than 15 million and kept our picks.

I might be wrong but it seems like Winston wasn't even on the team's QB list.

Yeah, I'm not sure either. But that's a pretty damn reasonable contract.

We already went the route of an older QB and it didn't work out so well before. Technically, we've had two older QBs come down with injury (Fitz, Alex).

Mariota to Atlanta:

@RapSheet
That was fast: The #Falcons have agreed to a 2-year deal with QB Marcus Mariota.

Press release from HOF about inaugural "Awards of Excellence" recipients. A few with Washington ties. Some of these men had amazing careers and devoted amazing time to the game and their franchise. Definitely worth reading their blurbs.

As the market shrinks some one is going to get Baker for a 6th and make Cleveland pay half his salary.

All off the field shenanigans aside, people are greatly underestimating how good Watson is/was. He played on an awful team, than all the off the field crap. But in 2020, which really isn’t that long ago he was well on his way to being one of the best quarterbacks in football. A perennial pro bowler his entire short career.

TD–INT:
104–36
Passing yards:
14,539
Completion percentage:
67.8
Passer rating:
104.5
Rushing yards:
1,677
Rushing touchdowns:
17

As of 2021. Those are some scary good numbers, and that was on a bad team.

I am with you but i am having a hard time looking past his off field shit.

to me its so awful that the Browns rewarded this guy, yet they have a guy baker mayfield that has only done nothing but work his heart out for the organization.

My son plays a lot of youth sports and its just such a horrible message to send kids.

I really could careless about Watsons numbers i rather had TH again this year then that garbage in a Commanders uniform.

Well we rooted for AP and he whipped a small child in the nut sack. To me that is so much more fucked up than Watson. But I hear you. Im just not sure if I was hesitant about Watson because of the PR nightmare it would have drawn to us - who already have a PR nightmare or because of what he actually did. And im still not sure, probably because i still don’t know exactly what he did.
