Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Ron Rivera got absolutely out game planned to an extent I have rarely seen. Him, JdR, and Turner are so out of their league.
Only way we get a great Coach in here is if we take a flyer on a young gun and get lucky because nobody established would ever come work for Dan. That being said we are stuck with Larry Moe and Curly for the foreseeable future and they better get their heads outta their asses. |

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Fair enough -- early days yet. But I have a feeling he'll do well. it's the kind of thing that would happen to our franchise, if nothing else. Young coaches going elsewhere and excelling.
There are some other good young coaches out there -- the league will be in good hands for a while. Reid, Carroll, and Bellichick are getting up there, but the above-mentioned coaches, McDermott in Buffalo, Harbaugh in Baltimore, Tomlin in Pittsburgh -- these guys could be coaching for many years to come. Some good QBs who could play for years to come too -- Mahomes, Herbert, Burrow, Jackson. Will be fun to watch. Would be even more fun if we had (a) one of those coaches, and (b) one of those QBs.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Wentz has been as advertised so far. Great plays and definitely some heart attacks but overall in the plus side. I am not blaming him for yesterday loss but his first half did leave something to be desired. I am curious to see if there is film breakdown or greater insight than I have, but was listening to a game recap podcast on hogshaven today and the host said Wentz was failing at checking out of plays in first half and reading the defense.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
I think he's going to be a bit like Cousins. He'll win games for us when we're competitive, but struggle when it really counts. I hope I'm wrong in a good way, but like Cousins he can disappear for portions of games and then appear again when we're desperate. He needs to be more consistent for 4 quarters as evidenced so far. Next week is a real test; if we're down 2-3 scores by halftime it's not the kind of team we can mount an amazing comeback against.

That dude seriously gives Snyder a run, for biggest D-bag in the NFL. I don't have anything against Ryan, but I hope the Colts are terrible all year.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
I don't like his name. It's so boring plus it's two first names who does that to their kid?

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
Wentz has been as advertised, big arm , will make some great throws and will make some WTF throws... Overall he's 1000 times better to watch than TH was.

Re: Welcome Carson Wentz
The fact the Colts got spanked by the Jags (again) is just hilarious. But yeah let's hear about how Wentz was the problem. Irsay is such a tool.
