It's pretty hard to imagine a scenario where Jimmy G isn't with the 49ers - at least to start the season. With all the QB movement already taken its course, and the draft all coming up, all before his surgery, I'm not sure what (if anything) SF could get for him at this point. They still don't know what they have in Lance either. Might be prudent for them to hang on to him for the time being.
