Re: The Most Fresh & Cordial Political Thread Ever

This pro-lifer makes the most reasonable argument that I can respect - starting with #9. There used to be a point in time when anti-abortionists were reasonable in their beliefs - by including exceptions for rape, incest, or danger to the life of the mother those were reasonable positions to take. But now most anti-abortion laws include no exceptions and are made by hard-liners - therefore making our position hard-line that your position is entirely unreasonable. It's why this discussion is pointless. You're set in your beliefs and we're set in ours. The advancing of your entirely unpopular position by hardliner SCOTUS justices means we have to be equally hardline in our approach.

The fact that 3 of the most recently affirmed justices had to lie just to get onto the bench affirms how unpopular your position is - if they had been honest about their intentions they never would've been confirmed by dipshits like Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski. They literally thought your party would be honorable in their statements to be confirmed to a lifetime appointment and now they look like idiots for trusting them.

This sums up the entire thing pretty well for me.

Then one can't say a majority of Americans oppose that, because a rather large majority do in fact support restrictions.

so can a woman:
Inject heroin in her body?
Commit suicide?
Get drunk and kill another driver?
or any of a thousand other things that we as human beings have said are not overridden by the collective law of the land.

The false narrative around women and the right to control their own body is astoundingly simplistic.

Human life is the first right, from which all other rights derive. When a sperm and egg combine and develop, a human life is created, and should be endowed with all the rights, including a right to life. That right should supercede a woman (or man's) right to commit murder through abortion.

'It's not just about abortion': Overturning Roe could limit miscarriage care

https://www.nbcnews.com/health/healt...care-rcna27349

“It’s not just about abortion:” Overturning Roe could affect miscarriage care
The same procedures and medications used in abortions are also used to safely care for miscarriages.

Up to one in four pregnancies end in miscarriage, according to some estimates, a loss that can be traumatic and dangerous for women. The risk is even higher after age 40. But the medical care a woman needs when she’s had a miscarriage can mirror how an abortion is performed, experts say.

“Medically, miscarriage and abortions are treated in very similar way,” said Dr. Stephanie Mischell, a family medicine physician in Texas and fellow with Physicians for Reproductive Health.

If God wants a woman to die via miscarriage, so it shall be. God has spoken.

If their position is so unpopular, then you have nothing to worry about. This doesn't ban abortions. It just let's voters in each state decide. Exactly as designed by a thing I believe is called The Constitution. If everyone loves the right to end an innocent life, then it will be allowed in all 50 states.
