But if you subscribe to the thinking that you don't care about what the Founding Fathers might think - and let's just make whatever laws we want without worrying about that little thing called the Constitution? Then yes - move along. If there's somewhere else on this continent or any other continent that has a democracy that suits you better, that is a more than logical place for you to go.

I'm speaking for myself here, lets be clear!

1) Thank you for your service!

2) Your service doesn't make you a better American then any one else.

3)The Constitution is a "living document", it is suppose to change with the times and as the Country changes. Not just to be used when people want more guns.
4) It was was written by Old White Plantation Owners who thought Women and Blacks weren't human when they wrote "we the People" they meant themselves. Almost 250 years ago, think about it.

5) Stop the proud boy BS.

1) Thank you.

2) I never said, and never would say, that my service makes me a better American than anyone else. We were talking about sacrifice and what I stand for. Why do you always put words in people's mouths?

3) I agree the Constitution is a living document, but that doesn't mean we should abandon it's basic principles. The fact is, it has been amended 27 times. It's not easy to do, but it's not supposed to be easy to do.

4) The Founding Fathers weren't perfect. Everybody knows that. They weren't all "old white plantation owners" either. Most of them were in their 30s and 40s when the Constitution was written. And while some of them were slave owners, I don't believe they thought that blacks and women weren't "human". That's your opinion based on zero objective evidence - not fact.

5) I'm proud, and I'm a boy... but I'm no Proud Boy. Why must you always be so insulting and presumptive? Are you incapable of having a debate without being so? It's very unbecoming.

That's ridiculous. You seriously just make shit up as you go along.

Exactly which part of my response to BS is "proud boy like"?

"I'm sorry (not sorry), but if you tell me that you are envious of other countries that can just make whatever laws they want, without caring about the principles this great nation was founded upon, then yeah - you are basically saying Fuck the Constitution. Spin that however you want to, but that is basically - exactly - what you are saying.

And my man, I know a little bit about sacrifice. I'm sure you have heard of the "passion of the times" argument - that the Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution with the intent to prevent future generations from attempting to rule based on the passion of the times? Well, this is our time. There have been "times" before us, and there will be "times" after us. But this is OUR time to do what WE can to preserve the world’s longest surviving written charter of government. It's our time to decide whether we are going to do what we can to limit government or expand it; and our time to appoint Judges who will make decisions that are consistent with the Constitution, instead of creating legislation."
