The thing I notice about the recent history of these rules is thay all happend in the playoffs or a game that has serious playof implications.

1) 2 or 3 years ago the Patriots crushed the Press' Golden Boy Peyton Manning by jamming the receivers at the line and disrupting their timing. So the next year, no touching receivers after five yards.

2) Late in the regular season last year, Williams opens a can of whip ass on the mentally handicapped TO and no more horse collar tackles. To TO's credit he made it back for the SB.
