Dan Snyder Hires Bank Of America To Potentially Sell Washington Commanders

I was in the middle of my freshman year of college in 1991. Never would have thought at that time it was going to be all downhill from there. In the past few years I came to accept this franchise was ruined and would never find any real long term success under Snyder.

And with all the investigations and really troublesome shit we've learned as far as what a giant turd of a human Snyder is, I've almost come to despise what I once loved so much. A change in ownership would be so huge I can't even describe what a relief it would be.

Man. I think you speak for the majority. I can’t believe how far they have fallen since 91 and it is hard now to even root for them because of douche bag. This would be like a new lease on life. Well football anyway.

See a lot of chatter about people being hopeful the name will change again, maybe even back to Redskins. Neither of these things are happening. A franchise re-branding twice in a very short time? Don't see it happening. Just not good business. Going back to Redskins? 0.0 chance.

Yeah I don't get why people would think this would happen. The #1 thing the new owner would be doing is getting that stadium deal.

If people haven’t listened to Sheehan’s interview with Mike Ozanian on his Thursday podcast it is well worth it. About the first 30 minutes. Always insightful when you have someone that understands sports and money. In the interview he said the rebrand has been viewed as widely successful including a 30% increase in sponsorship revenue from 2021. He pegged this as one potential reason for timing. Regardless how fans feel a business person will see the potential in that.

I don't see this connection between the name Commanders and it being a "Snyder thing." He was forced to change the name. And why would current owners care or force a new owner to change the name?

Honestly, this whole name discussion is being brought up by people that are still (for some reason) complaining about the name.

I'd rather a new owner get a new stadium deal, fix the business side of things, and get this franchise back on the right track instead of worrying about the team name. You know what fixes the name? Winning.
