Re: Skins vs Vikings Pre Game Style

Just watched the Cards @ Vikings game from last week.

This is going to be a tough one guys. Thielen and Jefferson are for real, and the Cardz couldn't stop Cook at all.
Their Dline is legit too, our shuffled Oline better keep improving like they did last week.

There are ways to beat their Oline though. If we're going to win what looks like our toughest non division game so far, we need our Dline to rattle Kirk early and turn him into the Kirk that makes his haters look right ASAP.

If dropping 7 into coverage is not going to be good enough to stop Jefferson and co, which I think we have all come to terms with, then I hope they have plans for dialling up constant blitz pressure on Cousins

I said we should have kept KOC instead of bringing Turner. The Vikes O is the best we’ve faced all season, loaded with weapons and a great offensive mind. KOC is going to want to show Ron he made the wrong choice (once more). This is going to be a game were our D will have to step up all around and our O will have to score more than 20 points to have a chance.

Art Monk- Art was like an OL playing WR, doing the dirty work and not getting the glory.

Yeah I agree.

We are going to have to use ball possession as a defensive weapon. Really run effectively, with long drives.

That being said, the Vikings defense is the worse we’ve seen in awhile too. So there will be some opportunities for big plays

From all the years of listening and watching Kirk ... I think he struggles when you change up your tendencies.

Kirk is very mush a read pre snap guy, who trusts his pre snap read but then if you throw a wrinkle in it and post snap its not what we usually do in that look ... he can get flustered.

Dropping DE into short coverage seems to get him if he thinks the D is giving him an easy 5 yard pass over the middle only for the DE to suddenly drop back.

Del Rio has done a decent job past couple weeks (against bad offenses - bears/packers/colts) .. this week he needs to get creative and give new looks. We cant go 11 on 11 and expect to shut down this offense.
