At this point, I think that doing any sort of business with Dan is too much a liability. Just last night we saw the news that there is now an 8th(?) (I've lost count) investigation into the team, this one being done by the U.S. Attorney's office in the Eastern District of Virginia. He has fires burning all around him. The Mary Jo White investigation, and the final report from the Congressional oversight committee will all be releasing their final report probably within days.

Both reports I'm sure will be damning to Dan. I can't think of ANY respectable business person who would want to hitch their wagon to Dan even if it were for 49% ownership share.

The bottom line is, WAS is dead last in stadium attendance, and for the first time they are now being outperformed in the TV segment in their own market area. It gets worse and worse and it will keep getting worse as long as Dan is here, I really feel like there's too much pomp and circumstance for it to end up "Just" being a minority ownership sale / bid. I think Dan does not have the cash (obviously) to build a new stadium, and he is now realizing that no help is coming for him - MD, DC, VA wants nothing to do with him. He can only fill up FedEx field a third of the way, no way in hell he will fill up a newer, larger stadium. And I think he is finally seeing the walls close in on him. It's over for him I think. NFL network reported yesterday that they DO have the votes needed to remove Dan, but their preference was that he sold willingly. I am sure that has been conveyed to Dan and that is probably what has prompted all this.

I think this is the end for Dan. He probably finishes out the year as the owner but I really think we will know who the front runner(s) are/is by Christmas time. And what a gift it would be for Fans.

I think its one of those situations where a company is like we will let you quit to save face but if you don't we are going to fire you're ass. Pick your poison.

Goodell has been very quiet/non committal on all these reports for the last few months, cant help but think he has been quietly pushing Dan towards this position like he did with the name change. Goodell has to have a good idea already as to the likely outcomes of all of these reports and has maybe made the point that Dan will get a better price if he sells the team voluntarily rather than being forced out. Would maybe explain why Dan made such a sudden change of direction on both subjects. Just speculating
