On September 16, 2016, Lynn was promoted to assistant head coach and offensive coordinator of the Bills when Greg Roman was fired.[8][9] When asked what he wants his offensive identity to be, Lynn responded, "I want to play smart, physical football. I want to be explosive down the field... We're going to play a little bit faster and see if we can put a little pressure on the defense. Just execute."[10] Lynn made his debut as offensive coordinator against the Arizona Cardinals, pulling out a 33–18 win.[11] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Lynn Fits the running first approach

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Itd be interesting if he even wants the job .. but I guess he is interviewing
If I was a somewhat young coach I wouldnt want the job. A 1 year placeholder job that you will probably be fired from next year when RR is not retained ... on a team with probably the lowest ranked QB room in the league .. with an aging OL

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
We need a backup, and love him but it shouldn't be TH. I say get a capable FA vet in there to push SH. Maybe even Garropolo, though I bet we're low on his list. Probably more likely someone like Brissett, and that would be OK. draft a guy in the 3rd or later one we have 2 or 3 good CB/OL/LB picks. If they don't rebuild the OL through FA and the draft, there will be no point going are a top vet QB anyway, would be a waste of money.

At the end of the day nothing matters until Dan is gone

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
I don't want Lynn but he fits well with what Rivera is looking for - conservation offense........

Yep, run first and won't take many deep shots...

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Perhaps the combo of Jimmy G + Lynn = bring some of that Kyle Shannahan scheme over with them
Im not going to get too bothered with whatever the team decides to do. Decent argument to trade up, decent argument to add a Jimmy G type, decent argument to roll with Sam Whatever options they go .. we end up a game or two below .500 regardless
