Have we ever shadowed a WR before? Doesn't sound familiar. I mean, it's just offseason, so it's not a big deal now. But I'd like for him to be planted on the outside. Ron Rivera be like...but can you farm??? RIP to one of the GOATs.

I do get the frustration feeling about Rivera's obsession with flexibility, I feel that way sometimes. Although with the DBs, it's important to be flexible with positions because some offense coordinators are always looking to exploit our defense weaknesses. We can mitigate this challenge by confusing QB on who is covering his #1 target, or this would make things easier for our defense when the #1 WR is motioned to a different position before the snap by transferring the coverage responsibility to other DB without running over to a different side. |

I was seriously asking if we have ever done that before. Or at least recently. I don't remember it. Not sure if it's a feature or just never having a dominant CB1 to try it. But I don't recall us doing that.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
We're already calling him CB1?
Anyway, it's not as if they are locking him in at the slot, they're just giving him some reps there. |

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
I don't know about CB-1, but honestly he better be CB-Starter. I don't care where - outside, boundary, inside, slot...whatever. He better be good enough to take someone's job. (Psst, I'm looking at you Benjamin...with your 13 missed games in the last two years...)

I just personally think Forbes will be our best CB Week 1.

Dude can play anywhere he is needed. I think that was what we liked about him so much. When BSJ gets injured in game 2 we can rotate him. |

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
He'd better be. You don't draft a player in the 1st Round to be a backup.

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Nah, first round pick, he should be leaving receivers on Forbes Island week 1.
