My initial thought on Howell is that we found short Daniel Jones which imo is fine. You can build around that and might even make the playoffs from time to time.

Sam howell takes Down Dallas postgame

Really? Daniel Jones took alot longer than one game to look as good as Howell did. Im with you SF. Not sure what else the guy could have done with what he had to work with today. We should be absolutely elated about his performance. His ceiling is waaaay higher than a short Daniel Jones. Give him time to throw and an OC who actually belongs in the NFL and he is going to be way better than you think. |

Re: Sam howell takes Down Dallas postgame
I think the first 3 quarters was a really crampy game. Washington got some real breaks that helped them. The 4th quarter was great. I wish they would get rid of Turner but he is one of Riveras favorites so I doubt it will happen unless Washington gets rid of Rivera. I wish for that too. I can't complain too much because Washington won. Any win over Dallas, especially crashing their play-off dreams, is reason to celebrate.

He took a hit he didn't need to. And he started sliding after that. He threw a terrible pick. Can't justify that one, but I'm sure he'd say the same. Other than that, he looked pretty damn good to me.

Even if it's a reach?
I don't agree with no matter what. Especially after Howell played pretty damn good.

Re: Sam howell takes Down Dallas postgame
Howell should have been a 1st rounder, NFL experts are obsessed with height, he's short for QB standards. Give me a smart, tough, gutsy QB that makes quick decisions and is mentally tough. That's what Howell is, reminds me of JoeyT minus the arrogance.

Watched him a bunch in college I know he can be a good quarterback in this league. With quarterback play like we saw today we probably beat the Giants twice, the Browns, Titans, Minny, and maybe Detroit. Quarterback play is what held us back in all those games. It is mind numbing that this staff couldn’t see that all year long. |
