Look at Josh Allen's stats his last year at Wyoming. They were less than mediocre. Clearly a baller. Richardson has a very similar talent set. Big, huge arm, can run like a RB. Richardson could be very good, but could just as easily not. I think Richardson will be a boom or bust pick. I also think he'd be better off going to a team where he could sit for a year then play.
We're not that team, but if we didn't have Howell, I wouldn't be upset with drafting Richardson. I just happen to think Howell fell way too far for reasons out of his control. I could go back to Allen for that too (his stats his 2nd to last year were better than his last year, but he was still 6-5 his last year). If Howell was the same size as Allen, no way he wasn't a 1st round pick after his last year at UNC. Note - Yes, Wyoming had a less talented team, but they also played against less talented competition than Richardson or Howell.
