But I think about Josh McDaniels, being under Bellichick shadows, in a team with a great QB (when Brady was in NE), and how he never got the scrutiny that EB seems to get. Hell, McDaniels had a terrible stint as a coach his first time around, and that didn't stop the Raiders from hiring him.

I think the difference between the two situations is BB wasn't calling the offensive plays, McDaniels was. In KC it appears that AR is calling the plays, and while EB is obviously involved, his specific role isn't all that clear. He's definitely not autonomous, so how much credit does he deserve for the success of that offense?
