This is good, and EB is making this decision, not RR. Which means he likely fits the offense EB plans to run here.

Nothing wrong with competition. If Howell can't win the job, he was never the guy anyway. I'd rather find that out before the games count, and have a capable guy like Brissett on the roster to put out there if that's the case.

If Howell wins the competition, hopefully we're on to something.

I don't know that I have any faith in whom they think wins competitions either. Man, severely scarred I guess 🤷

Well one thing to point (if reports are accurate) out is that apparently Heinicke was the 1st choice but he signed elsewhere.
